Because Local 631 has a long history in Orlando's premier theatrical venues, our members have worked with and supported some of the greatest names in the entertainment industry, including Idina Menzel, Jerry Seinfeld, Diana Ross, and Kristin Chenoweth. Broadway Show Tours, such as The Lion King, Hamilton, and Wicked. Even corporate giants Microsoft and PGA, among others. IATSE 631 members support shows at the Dr. Phillips Performing Arts Center in Orlando, Florida, featuring the Walt Disney Theater (DPC), Steinmetz Hall (DPC), as well as the Maxwell King Center for the Performing Arts in Melbourne, Florida. We don’t just work in theaters—we also support business conferences and live concerts in arenas and outdoor venues throughout Central Florida (including Orlando, Daytona Beach, and Melbourne).
IATSE works in all forms of live theater, motion picture and television production, trade shows and exhibitions, television broadcasting, and concerts, as well as the equipment and construction shops that support all these areas of the entertainment industry. Our members are highly qualified and skilled individuals dedicated to making every job we undertake a safe and successful event. We take pride in our history of providing first-rate technical and logistical support, even as modern show technology evolves. Lighting and sound systems have become more complex, scenic shops use new materials to build sets and displays, and costumes are now designed for lightning-quick changes. IATSE 631 members have the diversity of knowledge and technical skills to stay ahead of those changes.

We are not a company.
IATSE Local 631 is simply an organization of industry professionals with common goals. IATSE Local 631 does not make a profit, and your payroll does not support our organization directly. Our Union Workers, through payroll deductions, cover all our operating costs. There are no intermediaries. You do not pay a percentage to a labor broker. The benefit percentages go directly to the workers, and because they appreciate the worker environment we provide, we see higher productivity for your event.
Payroll
If your company is not set up to take care of payroll for your production, IATSE Local 631 has a working relationship with a payroll services company that can take care of your payroll and workers’ compensation needs.
Where we work.
Local 631 provides highly skilled rigging, carpentry, lighting, audio, wardrobe, hair and makeup personnel to major venues, producers, and promoters throughout the Central Florida area, including Daytona Beach, FL, and Melbourne, FL.
