Because Local 631 has had a long history in Orlando's theatrical venues, our members have worked with and supported some of the greatest names in the entertainment industry, including Diana Ross, Christin Chenoweth, David Foster, Dancing With the Stars, and even corporate giant Microsoft and PGA among others. IATSE 631 members support shows in Walt Disney Theater (DPC), Steinmetz Hall (DPC) Hall, and Maxwell King Center for the Performing Arts. And we don’t just work in theaters—we also support business conferences and live concerts in arenas and outdoor venues throughout the Central FL area (Orlando, Daytona, and Melbourne)

We are not a company

IATSE Local 631 is simply an organization of industry professionals with common goals. IATSE Local 631 does not make a profit, and your payroll does not get split up within the organization. As employees, we cover our operating costs. There are no middlemen. You do not pay a percentage to a labor broker. The benefit percentages go directly to the employees, and because they appreciate the work environment, we see higher productivity.

Payroll

If your company is not set up to take care of payroll, IATSE Local 631 has a working relationship with a payroll services company that can take care of your payroll and workers’ compensation needs.

Where we work

Local 631 provides highly skilled rigging, carpentry, lighting, audio, wardrobe, hair, and makeup personnel to major venues, producers, and promoters throughout the Central Florida area, including northern Daytona Beach, FL, and Melbourne, FL.
